Best Place for Holiday Gifts

I know there are only a couple days left to finish your gift-buying (or making, of course – who says purchasing has to be the norm?), but in case you have some people left on your list, go visit Charleston’s greatest fair-trade, eco-friendly, 100% local and independent store Global Awakening at 499 King Street for their mega CLOSING SALE. Although I’m truly sad to see them go from a physical presence to only online – browsing at Global Awakening is always so refreshing – this does at least mean that you can get beautiful items, like this incredible birdhouse, made and sold with a conscience, at 35-50% off.

Psst…Global Awakening is extra good for adorable, healthy baby and little ones’ clothes. One of my favorites (it’s not up on the website yet, but it’s been in the store each time I’ve been in) is a kids’ t-shirt of organic cotton that says “Environmentalist in Training.” It’s perfect for the small person in your life!
