I’On to Host Second House of Design & Boutique
Annual Events Raises Funds for
Charleston Symphony Orchestra

The Charleston Symphony Orchestra League (CSOL) has chosen I’On for a second year as the location of the Charleston Symphony House of Design & Boutique, which will run Oct. 5-21. Last year, the showhouse, sponsored by ALKA Construction and I’On Realty, helped raise $40,000 to help keep the orchestra afloat.  

Located at 59 Sanibel Street and available for sale for $1,375,000, the three-story, five-bedroom, five-and-half-bath home built by ALKA Construction features a number of interesting details, including a large, dramatic accent wall in the master bath with glass mosaic tiles, huge shower room, custom ironwork, detailed brick flooring in the mud room and breakfast area, and a finished carriage house with a full bath within the walled courtyard. Interior designers Regina Garcia of Regina Garcia Design and Jennifer Patterson of Terra Designs will design the interior to reflect a reinterpretation old European style blended with the home’s modern features.

In addition to viewing the home’s interiors, guests at the showhouse will be able to purchase the designer furnishings, items in the CSOL’s popular boutique and art on display by the Community of I’On Artists.  

“Last year the League created a new fundraiser, collaborating with ALKA Construction and I’On Realty,” says Gwen Gilmore, president of the CSOL. “The success of this new fundraiser enabled us to exceed our projected donation to the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and enabled a brighter future for the CSO, ending their fiscal year in the black. At the end of the season, it is rewarding knowing our hard efforts will continue to keep the music playing in
Charleston.”
