The Film Society is still going strong in their home at the Olde Village Talking Picture House, at 1080 E. Montague Ave.  In fact, back in March the House got voted “Best Place to Watch Cheap Movies” by the Charleston City Paper (movies there are only $5 for non-members, and $2 for members!).  If you’ve never been to one of their film showings, why not give it a try?  The next film is The Project, on May 16, with a local short film called “Shorty” before the feature.  Showings are at 4 and 7pm.

Oh yeah – and the popcorn’s free.  How’s that for date night!
