I’On’s Rookery gets some new nesting platforms
The birds in the Rookery got some spiffy new housing this past weekend, that everyone hopes will give some egrets and their babies a nice home this spring. Our platform-builders also planted trees, so those egrets’ great-great-grandchildren–and any other bird who makes his or her way to this quiet, protected space–will have plenty of options come nesting time.
