This fall was busy as we opened our information office at 1081 East Montague (come visit to see our latest renderings & our 3-D flythrough of the neighborhood) - and released Mixson’s first 29 homes.
In one week, our team took 23 reservations and sold 12 residences! If you’ve been considering buying in Mixson - now is the time. All the information, including pricing, is up on the www.insidemixson.com website.
We’re very excited about this momentum and see it as evidence that people are not only interested in sustainable development - they’re ready to live it.

Speaking of sustainable development, check out the cover story in Charleston Magazine’s latest issue is “Charleston Green” – it great information on green building trends, and a plug for Mixson: http://www.charlestonmag.com/feature1.html

MIXSON CIVIC TRUST
We’re committed to promoting strong social and cultural connections between Mixson and the Park Circle area. To achieve this goal, we’re helping launch an independent, not for profit organization called the Mixson Civic Trust. It’s mission: fostering active civic life in the community. This organization will help connect new neighbors and friends, and will be a strong complement to the many active local neighborhood civic clubs and associations. We’re hoping the Trust will sponsor a number of events in 2008 such historical walking tours, cultural and arts events, and community volunteer days. Stay tuned for details, and let us know if you’d like to be involved or if you have ideas for early activities.

COME BE INSPIRED
Join us for “Transportation and Urbanism”  - a presentation and discussion with John Norquist - former Mayor of Milwaukee and President of the Congress of New Urbanism (www.cnu.org). Mr. Norquist is a dynamic speaker and highly respected expert on issues of urban design and renewal. Come hear him share his views on what other cities are doing to improve transit and entice residents and businesses. Join the discussion about how Charleston might best accommodate its next decade of growth.
