Morris Square Lowcountry Boil a family-friendly success
Friends and interested newcomers were welcomed to Morris Square Wednesday, November 14, for a lowcountry boil and live music in Simonton park. The event drew around thirty people, many of whom stayed until the music stopped and the food was gone. Six homes were opened to the public for self-guided tours, and their open doors were so inviting that they drew not only interested adults, but a few excited toddlers and a dog as well! The brisk weather created a perfect autumnal evening, warmed up by the torches and family-style tables that invited guests into conversation and community. With a guitar player covering songs by the Beatles and other greats, even passers-by dropped in to get a bite to eat, roam the newly revamped park, and take a peek at the brand-new Morris Square residences.Â
