N. Charleston Girl Scouts participate in Clean Cities Clean Sweep event

planting-tree-1.jpgOn Saturday, March 8, over 65 Girl Scouts and 11 troop leaders and parents helped make N. Charleston a bit more beautiful, and a better home for wildlife by planting over 133 trees and flowers in just 4 hours! Mixson’s own Jennifer Tyler took part in the event, which went from 8 am to noon and was (so we hear) fun, dirty, and tiring. In addition to planting, the girls removed 23 bags of debris to make room for the new plants. We all thank you, girls, for improving North Charleston’s environment!
