Public meeting on proposed Kinder Morgan expansion
Here’s your chance to get involved and ensure you and your neighbors have clean air! The City of North Charleston is holding a public meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 6:30 pm to discuss the proposed expansion of Kinder Morgan, a massive energy transportation company which transports coal into Charleston.   The company doesn’t have the best environmental record, so it’s up to all of us to make sure that clean air protections will be in place if the expansion proposal does go through.  Â
The meeting will be held at the North Charleston City Hall at 4900 LaCross Rd., in the City Council Chambers. SCDHEC’s Bureau of Air Quality and Kinder Morgan will both make presentations, and the public will have a chance to ask questions and comment on what they hear.Â
